On the 23rd June, the Gauteng Growth
and Development Agency (GGDA) in collaboration with the SAPCC hosted a
seminar to announce the Gauteng Economic Development Plan (GEDP) at the
Gauteng Investment Centre in Sandton, Johannesburg.

Thwala introduced the panel of speakers comprising Ambassador of Portugal in
South Africa, António Ricoca Freire, GGDA Group CEO, Saki Zamxaka and SAPCC
executive director, Rui Marto.
The keynote speaker, Saki Zamxaka
presented highlights of the GEDP to the audience of approximately 60 SAPCC
members and guests representing Portuguese and South African companies and
institutions. Rui Marto presented members’ feedback of the challenges of
doing business in South Africa.
Participants enjoyed the presentations
and lively discussion that followed in the Q&A session. The participants,
as always with SAPCC functions, also had a great networking opportunity.
